Retail Branch Manager

Summary: 

Oversees the efficient daily operations of the Retail Branch, ensuring all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff. Responsible for providing a high-quality customer service experience while performing a wide variety of tasks.   Lead and manage the performance of the retail team.  

Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures as well as all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, provides a variety of customer service and administrative functions.  Accountable for representing the bank in a courteous and professional manner.  Possess a good working knowledge of all Bank products and services.  Always upholds a high degree of confidentiality for our Bank and Customer information. Provides support to the New Accounts, Teller Line and Deposit Operations.  


Work Arrangement:

  • This position is onsite in Osage Beach, MO
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday and Rotating Saturdays. Total 40+ hours per week, depending on branch needs.
  • Must be able to work overtime to the extent necessary.


Job Functions:

  • Supervises retail staff, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, staff scheduling, counseling, motivating, training, preparing, and delivering performance evaluations, preparing, and delivering discipline, and terminating, when appropriate. Conducts regular meetings and provides frequent feedback to retail staff.
  • Ensure operational soundness of the banking center.
  • Monitor and manage relationships with new and existing customers to support, retain and expand relationships; contact customers after opening accounts as part of the customer on-boarding process.
  • Work directly with Business Development officers in establishing new accounts for SBA Loan customers.
  • Manage the New Account documentation audit and storage process.
  • Process monthly files for Reward-Based Accounts.
  • Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of department policies and procedures.
  • Reviews mobile and remote deposits for processing.
  • Assists clients with requests.  Research complex account questions and follow-up on details to resolve matters to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Assist in the implementation of new products or services including developing required disclosures.  Assist the Marketing department to ensure the Bank website contains current product information.
  • Assist in maintaining the Deposit Operations Forms Library.
  • Provide backup teller services.
  • Provide back up to the operations specialist with account reconciliations.
  • Ensure and role model top tier customer service for branch customers.
  • Must complete all required training, including Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-money Laundering training, suitable to their position within the bank.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience:

  • High school degree required.  Associates Degree or better in Business/Sales or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience in the Banking or Finance industry.  Knowledge of Bank products, services, and regulations. 
  • Thoroughly familiar with account documentation requirements as defined by Federal and State regulations and by Bank policy.
  • Notary preferred or ability to obtain.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of banking systems.
  • Knowledge of fraud and check kiting in the banking industry.
  • Familiar with ACH processing and NACHA regulatory compliance.
  • Familiar with BSA and AML regulation including Currency Transaction Report completion.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, professional contacts, and the public with a high degree of professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
  • Mental alertness and adaptability to office work routines.
  • Sales / Marketing aptitude.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with 10-key is required.
  • Applicants must be able to pass a credit and background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. 
  • Periodically exposed to outdoor elements.
  • Ability to recognize and differentiate colors.
